Celebrating 70 years of the Jaguar sports car, this special Chequered flag edition comes with new suspension and styling tweaks.
Jaguar is celebrating 70 years of their sports cars with a special edition F-type ‘Chequered Flag’. This is available in automatic F-Type Coupe and Convertible models. With either the entry-level four-cylinder (297bhp) or the supercharged V6 engines. The Chequered flag edition is based on the R-Dynamic models and features a combination of aesthetic and suspension tweaks.
The Jaguar F-Type suspension tweak is the comfort mode has been recalibrated on the adaptive dampers to try to smoothen out the ride at low speeds. Also, the special edition rides on large 20-inch wheels and is available in a small range in a limited palette of colours. Caldera Red, Carpathian Grey and Fuji White. Moreover, these paints are matched with a black painted roof on the coupe, or a black fabric on the soft top convertible.
On the exterior, R-Dynamic elements such as the body-coloured sills, diffuser, splitter are as before. Likewise the gloss black grille, window surrounds and side intakes.
Stepping inside the interior has also picked up some minor unique elements. This such as red seat belts and the steering wheel has a red leather top centre marker. Also, the black leather seats picked up an embroidered logo and white stitching of the chequered flag. Additionally, the dash is finished nicely with aluminium trim, with the infotainment system now has Apple Carplay and Android Auto.
The Jaguar F-Type is available to order now from dealers. The prices vary between a jump of £6-7k above the original R-Dynamic models, taking into consideration the extra equipment.
