Ahead of the reveal of the new Mercedes-AMG A45, Brabus has shown what it can do with the new A-Class.
Well then with new aerodynamic additions, suspension tweaks, new wheels, and an engine tune. Brabus has thrown all its got at the 2019 A-Class. This is available on the A250 model on both the all-wheel-drive and front-wheel. The specialists have managed to extract an extra 46bhp and 59lb ft of torque out of the 2-litre turbocharged four cylinders. This brings it up to 267bhp and 317ib ft, this is thanks to the remapped ECU. As well as changing up the injection, ignition timing as well as boost pressure control. A larger intake is also included which is there to help the engine breathe.
Brabus also offers tuning options for diesel models of the A-Class which are in development. The power in the new model now pushes the A-Class from 0-62mph in 5.9sec, which is not precisely blistering but is an improvement from the 6.2 factory figure.
Available on all of the A-class models in the AMG Line, Brabus also offers a variety of body modifications if requested to go with the engine tune. This includes a more aggressive diffuser, two-piece front splitter and to house the new stainless steel and carbonfibre exhaust tips. Moreover and of course a Brabus car is not complete without a rear wing. They claim that it gives the A-class better aerodynamic balance
A unique feature offered from Brabus which involves the exhaust. This gives you the option to let the four cylinders lose with flaps that make a racket. Or due to the way it’s designed the exhaust can also be installed to look as discreet as from factory without the aggressive diffuser.
If you know Brabus then you know it does interior customization rather well. The A-Class comes with stainless-steel scuff plates with a backlit Brabus logos. Stylish aluminium pedals with a newly upholstered interior. Brabus goes that extra mile for personalisation. They allow the customer to choose exactly what they’d like for the upholstery with all the work done in fine soft Alcantara and Mastik leather.
Brabus says their suspension engineers and test drivers have developed a tailor-made wheel and tyre combination. For wheel sizes between 17-20 inches, there are three designs available. All of these designs are monoblock construction with the most significant coming with 235/30 R 20 tyres on all four corners.
Should you be worried about your tuning car in fear of reduced engine reliability, Brabus provides you with a three-year or 62,000-mile tuning warranty.
